Trainee Estimator

Purpose of the role:

Due to ongoing growth, CambridgeHOK are hiring for a Trainee Estimator.

Have you worked within a builder’s merchants or suppliers and have a good understanding of materials? Or perhaps you have work experience in purchasing, costing, or buying, as an assistant or administrator and are keen to progress?

This role will provide support to our lead estimator and ensure accurate costing and planning for our projects. Our Estimating team is at the heart of our business and is key to ensuring we have a good pipeline of exciting projects, and we are now able to offer full training with a recognized higher-level apprenticeship for the right candidate.

To succeed, candidates must have fantastic attention to detail, be technically minded, determined, logical, and able to handle and understand technical data on multiple software packages (after training).

This is an office-based role where you will communicate daily with suppliers, customers, and internal colleagues so you must also be a confident communicator. However, you will also be required to travel to our clients' sites throughout the UK so you will need a full UK driving licence.
