Sponsorship success for the 2020 British Tomato Conference

CambridgeHOK is thrilled to have acted as the main sponsor for the successful 2020 British Tomato Conference.

Hosted by Philip Pearson, Chairman of the British Tomato Growers' Association Technical committee, the online event was attended by a number of leading industry figures.

Patrick Harte, Head of Commercial at CambridgeHOK, opened the conference with an address entitled: Expansion, construction and innovation in UK protected crops.

Reflecting on a successful event, Mr Harte said: “We’ve has always been a proud supporter of the British tomato industry and we were absolutely delighted to be the main sponsor of this year’s Conference.

“There were some really interesting discussions throughout the day about the retail and technical challenges facing the industry, as well as the significant opportunities for growers.

“It was a pleasure and honour to take part and be amongst such esteemed company.”

Professor David Hughes was the keynote speaker, with a discussion entitled: Exploring the health & well-being mega trend - the big challenge and opportunity for fresh tomatoes.
