If you want to adopt a technology-based approach towards food production, we can design a Controlled Environment Agricultural Research Facility to help meet the demands of your customers.
Built from a repurposed 12m shipping container, the facility features a 2m sealed-off entrance area and equipment room. Step through the air-lock entrance door and into the main grow area, and you’ll find a space fitted with insulation, grow racks, LED lighting and automated irrigation system.
Designed by our technical engineers and 100% tailored to your needs, our in-house construction team create complete hydroponic growing systems capable of producing a wide crop variety - from herbs to vegetables.
Perfect for plant scientists, universities, land managers, agricultural and plant research organisations.
Discover the benefits and investigate the feasibility of integrating vertical farming into your business.
LEVEL 1 FACILITY
Used for growing crops or species which are non-indigenous to the country where the research is being conducted.
The facility usually features a ‘control’ corridor, annexe or lobby with an airlock – so nothing can go in or out of the grow room. Bugs, pests, pollen, air and water – cannot escape or gain access.
To maximise the grow space and allow others to monitor the environment, control equipment can be placed outside the Controlled Research Facility.
With its functions administered via a computer and intelligent Control Panel, the space can achieve very precise calculations – ranging from a maximum 35C temperature and 95% humidity to a low of 5C temperature and 50% humidity.
LEVEL 2 FACILITY
Invest in a Level 2 Facility and you can eradicate contamination risk whilst benefiting from all the Level 1 features.
Finer filtration means all water leaving the facility is UV treated and filtered. If required, we can incorporate a floor drainage system to store used fluids and nutrients for disposal.
Individually pressurising the entrance area and grow space, which can be set to different negative and positive pressures, means it is easy to minimise the air exchange between the two.
