Recruitment drive launched across all areas of business to maintain momentum and growth

CambridgeHOK is looking to build on recent growth and success by launching a recruitment drive across all areas of the business – from junior roles to senior managers - to ensure momentum is maintained and its projects continue to be successfully managed.

Current recruitment runs across the firm’s work in glasshouse design and build, energy efficiency consultancy and construction, with roles ranging from junior positions to senior responsibilities such as design and site managers. (View current job vacancies)

It follows a hugely successful past 12 months in which the firm has attracted widespread admiration across the horticultural sector for its work on major projects.

This has included designing and building huge glasshouses and supporting facilities for Dyson Farming’s impressive new strawberry growing site in Lincolnshire and medicinal cannabis specialist Hilltop Leaf in Scotland.

Having become part of the global Atrium Agri consortium of specialist horticultural businesses in March of this year, Joint Managing Director Louis Bradley, who invested in the business alongside Patrick Harte, says the company is well placed to reinvest in its team.

“As a business we pride ourselves on having strategically recruited the very best level of industry expertise in our specialist work areas,” said Mr Bradley.

“At the same time, we have always retained a focus on ensuring that we also recruit into more junior positions, as we can provide them with an opportunity to learn from the vastly experienced and knowledgeable team we have here, and shape them in the way that we work as a customer-focussed business.

“Over the past 12 months we have recruited some really experienced people into key positions across the business, and the work we have been able to attract in recent times has helped us reach a stage now where we have a significant number of opportunities at various levels of experience and responsibility.

“Investing back into your team is key at a time of growth. We don’t want to stand still. We want to build on what has been achieved in the past few years in particular.”

As part of the recruitment drive, experienced site and design managers are being sought, as are CAD engineers, controls engineers, electrical engineers and junior project managers.

“There are some great opportunities here to work with some very talented teams day to day on what are very exciting projects for us as a business,” added Mr Bradley.

“The roles we are currently recruiting for cover our glasshouses, vertical farms and construction businesses and include the design and build of energy centres, energy efficiency works and sophisticated climate control systems, as well as portal frame buildings for clients such as garden centres.

“This is an opportunity for people to join an innovative business which is committed to providing a clear career pathway for everyone, as we provide ongoing education and training.

“We are proud of ensuring that everybody at our business has defined career development milestones so they can see where their career is heading, and we as a business can make sure we are progressing our people too.”
