The benefits for our client:

Since its completion in early 2020, the new extension has added 80 seats to the café area, significantly increased the retail space available and paved the way for a new indoor children’s play centre.

Connected to the existing building via a portal frame, this beautiful garden centre can now comfortably host lot a lot more visitors and has resulted in an increased spend per person for each visit.

Scope of our work

Adding an extra 1,028 square metres of new retail and leisure space was the key to completing an amazing garden centre extension at Bell Plantation, in Towcester.

Working on behalf of the owners, this was our fifth project at the Northamptonshire location after previously constructing canopies, glasshouses and several new retail buildings.

Now this destination garden centre features a deli-style café, food hall, gym, vet’s surgery, nursery, beauticians, brewery, wedding specialist and poultry centre – attracting more than 250,000 visitors a year.

Having initially enlisted us to secure Planning Permission, we were subsequently tasked with the entire design, manufacture and construction of this Portal Frame extension.

Finished externally in a stylish statement black, the crisp white interior features welcoming roof-lights which flood the space with natural light.
