Reaseheath

The full design and build of a state of the art research facility at Reaseheath College, Cheshire.

Working alongside Reaseheath, one of the UK’s leading land-based colleges based in Cheshire, CambridgeHOK is in the process of a full design and build of a four compartment Venlo state of the art glasshouse with all modern technologies.

The glasshouse will be used for horticultural training and to provide a suitable training environment, CambridgeHOK have installed a mezzanine floor where the operating plant is installed leaving room below for a teaching area. As an added benefit the mezzanine provides a high level view over the crop which further enhances the training environment.

The Project for CambridgeHOK included all groundworks, glasshouse with diffused glass roof, LED Supplementary top and inter-lighting, heating, shade/thermal and light pollution screens, high pressure fogging system, irrigation all controlled by a fully integrated Environmental computer.

The glasshouse will provide the most modern training facilities in the UK enabling Reaseheath to train students in a commercially appropriate environment. The glasshouse will act as a research hub and nucleus for knowledge in the horticultural industry benefiting the development and future production of intensive food and ornamental crops.
